Course Outline
The Certified Executive Impact and Leadership Multiplier Coach is an advanced ICF Level 2 coach education program designed to develop coaches who can demonstrate the depth, partnership, presence and professional maturity expected at PCC level, while building specialised capability to coach senior executives and C-Suite leaders.
Building on Hallmark’s Certified Organisational Excellence Coach (COEC) program, the course develops participants beyond foundational coaching competence into advanced executive and organisational coaching practice.
A significant focus of the program is specialised C-Suite coaching. Participants develop the skills, confidence and contextual awareness required to coach senior leaders operating in environments characterised by strategic responsibility, complexity, ambiguity, organisational politics, stakeholder expectations, risk, change and high-impact decision making.
Participants learn to coach beyond the executive’s immediate challenge – exploring leadership identity, strategic priorities, influence, stakeholder impact, organisational culture, behavioural patterns and the wider system within which the executive leads.
The program integrates ICF PCC-level coaching, Executive Impact Coaching and Leadership Multiplier Coaching, enabling participants to support leaders not only in enhancing their own effectiveness, but also in multiplying the capability, ownership and performance of the people and systems around them.
Course Learning Objectives
By the end of the program, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate integrated coaching competence at PCC level, applying the ICF Core Competencies, PCC Markers, ethical principles, coaching mindset and reflective practice naturally rather than mechanically.
- Coach senior executives and C-Suite leaders with greater confidence and sophistication, recognising the distinctive strategic, relational, political and organisational realities associated with senior leadership.
- Establish sophisticated executive coaching partnerships, contracting for meaningful strategic and developmental outcomes while appropriately navigating sponsor expectations, confidentiality, stakeholder interests and measures of success.
- Listen and coach at greater depth, recognising emotions, assumptions, values, beliefs, leadership identity, patterns, subtext and meaning—and using inquiry, observation, challenge and silence to evoke potentially transformative awareness.
- Apply an organisational and systemic lens to executive coaching, enabling clients to explore the relationship between their leadership behaviour and organisational culture, performance, change, risk, stakeholder dynamics and strategic priorities.
- Apply Leadership Multiplier coaching approaches that help executives strengthen influence, empower others, develop capability, create ownership and multiply leadership impact across teams and organisations.
- Use specialised C-Suite coaching models, tools and approaches appropriately, while maintaining a client-led coaching relationship consistent with ICF PCC expectations rather than drifting into consulting, mentoring or advising.
Course Curriculum
Module 1 — The PCC Standard: Understanding Competencies, Markers and Assessment Expectations
The opening module establishes the developmental shift from foundational coaching toward PCC-level practice. Participants examine what distinguishes competent coaching from coaching with greater depth, responsiveness and partnership.
Key content: ICF Core Competencies at PCC level; understanding PCC Markers; ACC-to-PCC developmental shift; what assessors listen for; partnership versus coach-led conversations; coaching depth versus complexity of technique; common habits that restrict PCC-level coaching; self-assessment against PCC expectations.
Module 2 — The PCC Coach Within: Ethics, Mindset and Reflective Practice
PCC development is as much about who the coach is being as what the coach is doing. Participants explore the internal discipline required to remain curious, present, ethical and client-centred when working with powerful or complex organisational clients.
Key content: coaching mindset; ethical maturity; self-awareness; coach assumptions and bias; attachment to outcomes; managing the urge to advise or demonstrate expertise; reflective practice; emotional self-management; use of self; maintaining curiosity under pressure; boundaries within organisational coaching.
Module 3 — Contracting for Strategic Outcomes: Agreements, Measures and Alignment
Participants deepen their ability to establish coaching agreements that move beyond defining a topic toward identifying meaningful outcomes and measures of success.
Key content: engagement versus session agreements; defining desired outcomes; establishing significance; identifying success measures; aligning coaching with organisational context without compromising client ownership; revisiting agreements as conversations evolve; stakeholder expectations; maintaining partnership.
Module 4 — Listening Beyond Words: Emotions, Subtext and Meaning
Participants develop their ability to listen simultaneously to what the client says, how the client says it and what may sit beneath it.
Key content: multi-level listening; emotion; energy; tone and language; patterns and contradictions; values and beliefs; assumptions; identity; meaning-making; listening to the whole person rather than merely the problem; noticing without diagnosing; reflecting observations without imposing interpretation.
Module 5 — Coaching at Executive Altitude: From Strategic Priorities to Meaningful Goals
This module introduces the distinctive context of coaching senior and executive leaders. Participants explore how to remain a coach while understanding the broader organisational landscape surrounding the client.
Key content: C-Suite coaching context; executive leadership realities; strategic priorities; leadership transitions; competing demands; power and influence; stakeholder expectations; executive identity; translating organisational priorities into meaningful client-owned coaching goals; maintaining coaching rather than drifting into consulting.
Module 6 — Building Trusted Partnerships at PCC Depth
Participants explore how trust changes when coaching senior leaders who may experience scrutiny, organisational politics, confidentiality concerns and limited spaces in which they can be genuinely vulnerable.
Key content: psychological safety; trust and confidentiality; power dynamics; executive vulnerability; respect and empathy; cultural context; challenge without judgment; partnership with senior leaders; sponsor–coach–client relationships; maintaining boundaries and independence.
Module 7 — Inquiry That Shifts Thinking and Creates Transformative Awareness
The focus moves from simply asking “powerful questions” to understanding how awareness actually emerges.
Key content: inquiry at PCC depth; observations versus interpretations; reframing; exploring assumptions; beliefs and perspectives; challenging established thinking; use of silence; metaphor; intuition; inviting rather than imposing; helping clients connect insight across situations; recognising transformational moments.
Module 8 — Coaching at PCC Depth: Moving Beyond Technique to Client Transformation

This is a pivotal module in the schedule because it marks the transition from performing coaching competencies to embodying them.
Module 9 — Courageous Feedback and Shared Accountability
Participants learn to challenge clients without becoming directive, judgmental or overly helpful.
Key content: observations and feedback; permission and partnership; direct communication; constructive challenge; exploring discrepancy; accountability without policing; client autonomy; learning from action and non-action; translating insight into behavioural experimentation; sustainable growth.
Module 10 — Navigating Complexity: Coaching Leaders for Risk, Change and Organisational Dynamics

Module 11 — The Leadership Multiplier Lab: Coaching for Influence, Stakeholder Impact and Sustainable Results
This module develops the program’s distinctive Leadership Multiplier Coach proposition. Participants explore how coaching can help leaders move beyond their own performance to increase the thinking, capability and contribution of the people around them.
Key content: Multiplier and Diminisher leadership behaviours; leader impact; empowerment versus control; creating ownership; delegation and trust; stakeholder influence; developing others; psychological safety; accountability; sustainable behavioural change; stakeholder-centred development; translating individual leadership growth into wider organisational impact.
Module 12 — The Executive Coach’s Toolkit: Models and Techniques for C-Suite Impact
Participants build a repertoire of evidence-informed models and frameworks while learning the crucial PCC principle that the model serves the client—the client does not serve the model.
Potential toolkit areas: systems thinking; stakeholder mapping; leadership identity; emotional intelligence; strengths-based approaches; solution-focused coaching; Immunity to Change; SCARF; organisational culture frameworks; stakeholder-centred coaching; behavioural change; influence mapping; leadership reflection tools.
